“My name is Junyeong Kim, and I am currently an undergraduate student at UNC Chapel Hill majoring in Computer Science. I immigrated to United States from South Korea when I was 8 years old in 2005 and have been living in North Carolina ever since. As of now, I currently do not have any status in the United States due to several difficulties our family faced. Since I do not even have DACA, it is extremely difficult for me to live a regular day-to-day life without having fears. I really hope I can achieve my dream of becoming a Software Engineer, and I always try my best to overcome the obstacles I go through in order to reach my dream. I am willing to do whatever it takes for me to be successful!”
“The funds will help me greatly by allowing me to pay tuition, car insurance and car payments and focus more on school. Since I have to pay out of state tuition for the university, any kind of funds will allow me to take some of the load off of the shoulder.”
