“I was originally born in Dallas and moved to Rochester NY at an early age. I currently live in Rochester and am studying at UofR! I live on campus by the way. A huge obstacle in my life currently is, transitioning to the college life. So, being more responsible, making sure that I stay on top with my studies, etc.. Something that drives me is the current situation in my homeland Ethiopia. I want to be able to fix that issue, which plays a huge factor in my motivation.”
“These funds will help me and my family deal with covering the tuition bill, which is very expensive. Also, for the car payment, I plan on driving back and forth from my house to school everyday next year, and for that I need enough money to pay for a used car. This helps save us a lot of money because the rooming expense is very expensive too, so by me commuting from my house, that would eliminate that expense.”
