David's grandfather moved from Puerto Rico to the United States with a vision to put his family in a position to gain a college education and rise socially. His dream was fulfilled when David became a first-generation college student. While enrolled in college, David first hand experienced many common financial issues but successfully navigated these to graduate on time. He understands the importance and impact that higher education has on families and communities. David has felt the impact of social mobility and wants to give that experience back to others.

David has led teams that have built and shaped technology in the financial services space. He has built and launched financial technology products to help consumers reach their goals. David has leadership positions at early-stage Ed-tech startups and serves on the board of a higher education institution. David has experience working at some of the world's largest financial institutions and brings his expertise to Arbol.
