About Favio Osorio
Favio's journey from immigrant to Division I college tennis player is a testament to his determination and resilience. Upon arriving in the US with just a dollar and a dream, he encountered immense financial challenges while pursuing his education. From photocopying books due to affordability constraints to enduring over 4 hours of commuting each way to secure a job, Favio intimately understands the hardships faced by students from under-resourced backgrounds. Now, he combines his personal experiences with his financial expertise to ensure that young students and ordinary people confronting financial obstacles can enjoy improved and more equitable educational experiences.
Favio brings over a decade of experience in financial services and technology, encompassing diverse roles in wealth financial planning, operations, corporate finance, and product management. At Truist Bank, he played a pivotal role in enterprise-wide business transition planning for high-net-worth clients. At M&T Bank, he led initiatives within the Multicultural Banking group, which he helped establish, aimed at enhancing services and products for diverse customers across multiple business lines. Favio holds an Economics degree from Mount St. Mary's University and an MBA from Duke University's The Fuqua School of Business.
